Dmitry Grekov ("Grek") — The Greek holds key city markets, commercial stalls and the first cooperatives. He is engaged in the classic racketeering of the 90s: he brutally collects debts, eliminates competitors and provides protection for those who pay on time. The Greek's usual, cynical world is turned upside down when a young girl appears in his life. He falls madly and obsessively in love with her - purely, sincerely and with the strength that only a person who sees dirt and violence every day is capable of.
