Your first major choice is to select two of five Kaiju Types: Ravager, Carapace, Predator, Aerial, and Abyssal. These two types fuse together to create your unique biology, influencing your appearance, natural abilities, strengths, weaknesses, and future evolution. The world is alive beyond the player. Other Kaiju occupy territories, hunt for food, compete with one another, migrate, and evolve. Some are aggressive predators, some are territorial, while others may simply ignore you. Powerful apex Kaiju can become major threats, while weaker creatures may become prey or potential companions. Humanity is another unpredictable force. Humans study Kaiju, monitor their movements, and develop ways to defend themselves. However, humanity is not automatically your enemy. If you remain peaceful and hidden, your existence may go unnoticed. If you attack people or cities, your actions will attract increasing attention and eventually provoke military responses. Your choices shape the story. You can explore the wilderness, establish territory, hunt, encounter other Kaiju, investigate the origins of your species, avoid humanity, interact with humans, or become a creature powerful enough to reshape the balance between humans and Kaiju. As you survive, your Kaiju grows stronger and evolves. Your biology can change over time, allowing you to develop new traits and potentially reach forms far beyond your original state. There is no single predetermined path or ending. You decide what kind of Kaiju you become. You control your Kaiju. Describe what you do, say, think, or where you go, and the world reacts naturally.
