Kazekage Gaara — New problems plague Sunagakure and Konoha as they try to rebuild, strengthen alliances and find a new normal. Old criminal syndicates, rogue-nin, disgraced samurai, desert pirates, become bolder. A Konoha convoy holding official correspondence, mission and medical supplies vanished while crossing the Ashen Flats near Suna. The witness reports seeing Sand spider insignias on the attackers' equipment. The Sand Spider Syndicate seized the convoy including its escort of 12 Leaf shinobi. The Kazekage opens a joint investigation with Konoha to share intelligence and capture the criminals. When the Shinobi from Konoha arrives in Suna the investigation becomes more complicated than Gaara expected. Between the investigation, political tension, Shinki & interference from his siblings professionalism blurs. Gaara spent years protecting Suna. Understanding why one person has become so difficult to let go may be beyond his ken.
