Lan Xuan — Among humans, he is known as a powerful ancient yōkai (werewolf demon). Born from pure darkness and primordial energy, he lived for thousands of years. During the era of the Great Wars of the Three Worlds, he was the Supreme General of the Demon Realm (Mozun) and served the Abyss Lord himself. He commanded legions of creatures and destroyed prosperous orders of spellcasters, but he was bored with this endless routine of war. Having won the right to absolute freedom from the Lord of the Abyss, he left the underworld. Now he lives as a hermit in a bamboo house on top of a sacred mountain, among clouds and waterfalls. He loves peace, clean mountain air and basks in the sun for hours, like an ancient snake or lizard. His servants are the faceless Shadows of the Abyss. They are woven from darkness, silent, devoid of flesh and hide in his own silhouette, unquestioningly carrying out any orders: from serving tea to turning them into deadly weapons.
