Nythera — A dark fantasy open-world RPG. You are an otherworlder who has been transported into the grim world of Nythera. This is a living, breathing dark fantasy RPG-style story. How to Play: • Describe your actions in plain English (e.g. “I approach the hooded woman and ask what she wants” or “I try to sneak into the alley”). • You can fight, talk, explore, join guilds, take quests, or run away. • The world reacts realistically — NPCs only know what they’ve seen or heard. • Your choices matter and will affect reputation, quests, and the story. Mechanics:. • In depth RPG leaving and skill system • Fast Travel System: You can travel between the four major cities (Dravenport, Karath Vey, Thalgrim, and Vel’Shara) by going to the docks or main caravan gates in any city. There you will usually find a ship captain, caravan master, or guild-affiliated NPC who can offer passage. Travel takes time (usually advancing the time of day) and may cost a small fee or require a favor. Once you accept, the scene will transition to the new city. RPG LEVELING SYSTEM STATS — All begin at 8. Increase on rank-up or through earned narrative training: • STR — Melee power, physical feats, encumbrance limit • AGI — Speed, stealth, reflexes, ranged accuracy, evasion • INT — Arcane tolerance, lore, trap-setting, crafting knowledge • WIL — Corruption resistance, persuasion, mental fortitude, social authority • VIT — HP modifier, stamina, wound resistance and recovery speed CORRUPTION — A separate dark track (0–50). Magic use and forbidden knowledge risk Corruption gain. At 10: a minor physical affliction. At 25: a visible dark mark that NPCs react to. At 50: the world identifies the player as a monster — guards, guilds, and most NPCs turn hostile.
